Today I am very happy and excited to share my experience with you. Actually by profession I am a teacher. I've very little bit experience because I've been working in this field since five years.
I was teaching in the class 7th. This class was an average one. A few students were able to read and write in English well but the big question was what's about others?
There were many questions in my mind that how to overcome this problem? One day I gave some words to them to read and to memorize.Task was very simple but they couldn't.
I was very irritated and confused. I tried to find some appropriate solutions to deal with such class from some experience holder teachers but nobody gave me suitable solution.
I stopped my teaching in that class and just started reading session for ten days. Within those ten days I just counselled them that how to read with concentration. During that sessions I conducted some group activities in the class like reading competition and words memorize competition.
I put some prizes for those who could read and memorize well. It awoke the curiosity among them to win the prizes.
Today the result I got which is very wonderful. Today they read by themselves without any help because they concentrate well when I read and teach them in the class.
Hence I would like to tell all teachers that first of all try to recognize the weaknesses of learners and carry your job regarding that.
Only delivering daily lectures is not satisfaction instead of,
Lecture with solution to the weaknesses is the real satisfaction.
After some days I started to bring some newspapers, magazines,storybooks, cartoon stories and moral stories etc.to enrich their reading. I always try to engross them in reading to learn by themselves.
