MASCULINE Gender: A noun that denotes a male sex or animal is called Masculine gender.

here in the above sentence 'She' is a pronoun, used in place of noun 'Sanjana'

 

VERB:A word which indicate action is called Verb.

eg.He reads a book.

here action of reading is indicated by the word 'read'

read, write, play, run, play etc.

 

ADJECTIVE: A word which gives more information about 'noun' is called an Adjective.

eg. Radha is a beautiful girl.

here the word 'beautiful' add more information about noun 'Radha'

 

ADVERB:An adverb is a word that modifies a Verb, an Adjective and another Adverb. 

eg. She sums quickly (here an adverb 'quickly' modifies the verb 'sums')

     He is very clever boy. (here an adverb 'very' modifies an adjective 'clever')

     John speaks quite fluently. (here an adverb 'quite' modifies another adverb 'fluently')

 

PREPOSITION: Preposition is a word which is used with noun and pronoun to show their relation with something else.

eg. The book is on the table. (here preposition 'on' shows relation of noun 'the book' with 'table'

 

CONJUNCTION: Conjunctions are used to join two words,sentences or clauses.

eg. Rama and Shyam are friends. (  here Rama and Shyam are joined by conjunction 'and')

 

INTERJECTION: It is used to express sudden feelings or emotions.

eg. Hurrah! we won the match.

      Alas! she is dead.

Post Covid 19 Children's Mentality

 HI FRIENDS 

                      I would like to share with you a very sensitive issue of children after covid 19. As a teacher, I am very worried about it. Our schools were closed around one year so students were completely out of track during this period. they forgot everything, even they are unable to read and write. so think friends, how challenging is it!

                     

                      Today our schools are opened and again we are entangled in the same process to complete the syllabus. All teachers are playing the same race to complete the syllabus. But the important questions are, 

                           What's about children's basic skills, knowledge and concepts?

                                         Who is responsible for this?

                            Who is going to fulfill their basic ideas again?

                      

                      Actually I am very worried that all teachers are just talking about, we've very little bit time in our hand and within this short period of time, we've to finish our syllabus. System is also compel us to finish the prescribed syllabus as soon as possible. I think wherein no reality and it seems completely unprincipled to me. As a good teacher, we have to ponder over it to enrich the basic skills of our young minds. 

                      now students are completely far away from their study and all learning materials. we've to again engage them and involve them in the process of learning.

#LOCKDOWN CORONA

     Hello friends,

          Today we are, means the whole world, suffering from very dangerous pandemic named Corona. This is epidemic disease which spread from person to person and really fatal.

This Corona pandemic has been covered the whole world therefore the whole world is locked down. This is very harmful and dangerous crisis. 

    Initially The government of India had declared the lockdown for 21 days to stop spreading and to get rid from this monster Corona. The prime minister of India Hon. Shri Narendraji Modi has proclaimed that Stay Home and Stay Safe. This is the only remedy to get out of this crisis. So this is my humble request to all Indians please stay home and save your family from Corona. It spreads very fast from one person to another. When someone gets the victim of it, he/ s doesn't show any symptoms up to 14 to 15 days, but that affected person becomes the career of it.

That persons become the human bomb for the community and society. 

          

           Only staying at home inside the four walls is the only solution for it. Today you see what's the condition of  European countries like Britain, Italy, France and Germany. And one more recent  example of United States of America. See how dangerous! 

The mortal rate is above thousand per day. It's very shocking to read and listen. This crisis  will be unforgettable for many years in future.

If these developed countries are suffering in this way ,though their population is very less as compare to  Asian countries.  If number increased of Corona patients What will be the situation in the most populous country like India?

  

            

           Here we have 0.5 doctor per one thousand patients. We can't imagine what will happen in the coming days in India if people didn't follow the guidelines given by our health ministry. 

        Everyone is speechless what to do ?and how to do? about this pandemic. There're around fifteen lac. Patients who are suffering from Corona virus. This is huge number and 

the biggest threat of mortality that the whole world is suffering from. 
    
          In the country like India, there is not only a Corona crisis but also many more internal issues that we are suffering from in those days.
Issues like political, social, religious, communal and illiteracy etc. And one of the important thing I would like to acquaint here that is , if our number increased, we have to face another crisis like medical, hunger and economic that have to take into account. So we should live economical life in those days and support our nation. This is also a patriotism to serve the nation.

  
 Our State and Central government are doing good job to provide all facilities to people. They just appeal to you to stay home with your loved ones and follow social distancing, wear mask when you go out of your house. Don't violate any rule. Always keep in mind that violation of any rule will be the crisis for your family. 

   The war is not between nations, states and people. It's between a virus and mankind and one of the unfortunate thing is that our enemy is invisible. Now it's a question of our lives and our existence. So dear friends be patient and calm because our one wrong step or action will push our nation into the deep valley.

    We Indians have fought many wars and we have seen many crisis but this war is something different so stay home for some weeks. Our country  is leading in proper way and our both governments are powerful to shift our nation from this crisis. They only need our co-operation during this bad time. It is our duty to co-operate for the sake of our Motherland 'BHARATMATA'. 

    Now the whole world looking at us in a very shocking way that how is it possible (Lockdown) in the most populous country like India? Because here are many questions like hunger, illiteracy, unemployment etc. Inspite of all these , we have shown to the whole world that we are one, we are together during any crisis. 
     I know, my dear friends , we are suffering from many difficulties in those days but wait for some days everything will be fine and comfortable in the coming future because we are going to be a global leader and global guru.
So whatever patience we have shown in the last session of lockdown,the same I expect in the next as a true Indian.

      Corona is a virus. It spread from the city Wuhan of Chaina. Actually this is an epidemic disease so spreading rapidly in the world. Many people say that it is a bioweapon of China and some people say that  it is spread from the soup of bats. There are many misconception about it but it is really serious. Many people died due to this virus.
          Corona virus weight is 400 to 500 micron so it doesn't live or float in the air for long time. It is landed virus which spread  mostly just by touch. It spread only in two ways. Firstly when we come in the contact of affected person as he/s sneezing or coughing the virus transmit to other people. Secondly when we touch anywhere that time it stick to our hands and unknowingly we touch our hands to our mouth, eyes or nose that time it enters in our body.
          As it enters in our body, it stays in our throat dormant, inactive for fourteen days till we are unknown about it whether we're affected or not. After fourteen days it becomes active and its symptoms seem.  Initially its symptoms are not severe just as cold , cough, fewer, pains in throat and pains in the whole body etc. Initially we take it normally as a regular cold or cough. But after some days that normal symptoms turn into severe.
         Remedy to keep away from Corona. 

1) don't touch anywhere unnecessarily.
2) use sanitizer or soap to wash your hands.
3) use mask or handkerchief when you are in traveling.
4) don't go near crowdy places.
5) wash your hands regularly before touching to your face.
6) don't touch your face unnecessarily.
7) wash your mask or handkerchief regularly/daily then reuse.
8) don't travel to mostly affected places.
9) take advice of your doctor if any doubt.
10) always keep distance of 1 mitre or 3 feet from any person.
11) avoid to go out of your house.
12) work from home online.
13) eat healthy and purely cooked food.
14) try to avoid  cold drinks.
15) avoid mass-gathering programmes.
16) dry your clothes in sunlight for long time.
17)  exercise daily.
18)  join yoga classes.
19)  take good care of old people in your house.
20)  drink warm water.
21)  postpone your shopping or avoid shopping.
22)  stop purchasing online.
23)  cancel your pre-planned tour, trips.
24) avoid visiting tourist places.
25) cancel your business meetings.
26) wash your hands upto 20 to 25 seconds with soap or sanitizer.
27) clean your house and surrounding area.

        Toda I want to discuss with you about very crucial issue which is related to our day today life.
I heard that we (teachers) are playing a role of nation builder. It's very important role to develop any nation on this planet Earth. Because the development and progress of any nation are based on education. But when we peep into our classrooms and when we seriously observe our students that time the picture seems opposite for what we have imagined about them.

Parents seem more excited than their children and they are very happy because they consider themselves as a good caretaker. Actually it's a part ignorance. If you are behaving in this manner with your child and treating him or her lightly and without any seriousness,it will be very dangerous in future.
       Our loving parents provide each thing to their children but don't take follow up. Suppose here we should take an example of Smartphone mobile.
Parents give mobile to their children and after that  they never check their mobile phone to see whether they use it properly or not or what does he or she do in the mobile? How does he or she use it ? It's happening only because of the ignorance of parents in case of mobile. When children realize that our parents are unknown about the usage of mobile phone, they get opportunities to do any thing in it. It means parents themselves pave the way to their children to behave in wrong manner.
       Another stupid mistake of parents, both husband and wife are looking for job to earn money to run their family in proper way and to meet the needs in their lives. They have no time to pay attention to their children and have no time to communicate with them properly. Here, parents must keep in mind that your children expect your company and your soft friendly words not money. Money is not the medium of happy and noble family only good communication and loving company and parent's friendship is the base of civilised family.

I phone parents and request them to come to school to see the progress of ward but they have no time. What a tragedy!  Once I asked a guardian why don't you come to school to see your Ward's teacher and his progress? His reply was shocking to me.
He replied sir I've no time. It is his ( his ward ) duty   what to do ?and what not to do?
One more ridiculous thing he mentioned " I am working hard for their future." I am doing my job." Now, it's their part to study hard. How to deal with such parents? 
         I think our parents couldn't understand the duty and how to play the role of a good father? They forget the role as a good father while collecting assets. But they forgot that their children are suffering from bad addictions like bad company, mobile, smoking, porn sites, chatting on Facebook and Whatsapp rather than study. To notice these bad signs in their children, they've no time. Some parents, knowing all these things, ignore. Some pictures are out of our imagination and control. Really heart breaking.
            Our parents take reverse action. When his ward enter into the 10th std. that time parents turn off TV. and take out mobile phone from children.

Hello friends, today I am going to discuss with you about "communication" which is very significant part in those days. There are so much misunderstanding because of bad communication.
        Friends Communication and Education both these concepts are  interdependent and interrelated.
        "Communication develops through Education and Education develops through Communication."
          I went through many definitions of education but I like only two. First is of Swami Vivekanad and second is of Mahatma Gandhiji.
          Swami Vivekananda says that education is the manifestation towards perfection which is already within man.
           According to him, everything is already existed within us, we have to just realize it and that everything we realize within us only through meditations. Because meditations give us positive power.
            I would like to link this definition with undeveloped students in our classes. What we have to do here see, I think, first of all we should realize our learners or aware them with their power , acquaint them to their potential to overcome their weaknesses. When we would try to acquaint them with their potential that time we should follow this method of communication which will be very fruitful to develop our young minds.
              Friends, communication is the best way to change the world. When you communicate with others  in loving and candid manner that time the listeners will listen to you attentively. Always keep in mind your good communication would change the life of your learners. Never use obscene or indecent language in the class to your learners. I heard many times, teachers use such language eg. You can't do this and that.
       It is not your job.
       You are stupid.
      You are very slow or dull.
What do you think  of this language?
Do you think such language can inspire or motivate our learners?
Answer is no never.
Instead of  building their character, we spoil it. Such bad communication spoil the atmosphere in the class as well as psychological state of learners.
              The reverse impact of this bad communication is that they think on your bad remarks or words you used for them instead of concentrating on lecture.
             Your good and Frank communication encourage, inspire and motivate our learners and they start focusing on learning.
Your good communication help you to find spark  among your learners. Once you find the spark, it will be comfortable to spur them to build the ladder of their careers.
            
Good communication would build the strong trust between learners and teachers. See friends I would like to show you one important magic which is realistic. See both words "Learners and Teachers"
These two words have same letters. They learn under the same roof therefore they should trust  and respect to eachother.
   So, if you are unable to communicate candidly with your learners, it means you don't trust and respect your learners.
Good communication directly touch their education and experience which is already existed inside them. It keeps the healthy and sound atmosphere in the class.
        Then the next definition comes that is of Mahatma Gandhiji. He says,  what is education?
"Education which makes the character."
I think the guarantee of character of our learners is possible only  through education. So the root of education is  based on COMMUNICATION.

Human Teacher Vs Mechanical Teacher

Can you think the Mechanical teacher in the place of Human teacher?

              I think no never. It can be used as an alternative source in the process of learning.
Human teacher can read the psychology of his learners but not by the Mechanical teacher. Class can be controlled by the human teacher not by the mechanical.
               Human teacher has feelings, emotions therefore he can understand his learners and their problems easily but on the contrary the mechanical teacher is emotionless.
              Human teacher can reach to each and every learner and touch his or her emotions and involve himself among them which inspire and motivate the learners but mechanical can't do this.
              Human teacher can Pat and inspire his learners as well as enquire about his personal life to motivate them.
               Human teacher can motivate as well as guide his learners  during the failures and again make them able to stand and can suggest for be energetic. Today, we are influenced by the technology and machines. But in reality only human can support human.
                Today, we see around us everybody is busy or involved in his or her mobile phone. Nobody has time for others like machines. Everyone is trying to live in the isolation. You just think  What is the reason behind this?  In which -ism we live? This -ism has no proper direction and no preciseness to go further.
                 Here I would like to remind you one of the important statement made by the greatest poet W.B.Yeat. that is once he said

History repeats again and again"

                  Here seeing all this situation I would say that we are going back or journey towards "Stone Age". In that era, man lived his life as a beast and isolated one.

                   Here, I would like to remind you one more example of language that is very simple
   Linguist says that in isolation letter or word has no meaning. It's absurd. It's absolutely true because nobody has significance in isolation.
Then why do we live such isolated life?
                     Today, all parents areToday, all parents are expecting high score or more percentages from their children. They impose lot of pressure on their children only for good  score in the exam. It means they are making their children as a scoring machine not the human or a good manner citizen for nation.
                     We are making them emotionless like machine. Here, in such process we are human machines which is emotionless not a real human. Why are we making them as an average guy ? Average mind people always make their children average.
                      In the 21st century, we should avail the technology in our classes to make our learners aware of technology. Everything will be easy as well as to acquaint the learners with concept. eg. Video conferencing is the real example.
                      Technology is an alternative in learning not in the place of teacher. In my classes, I use technology and various technics to create interest among my learners.
                      Actually, learning is a part of revision.
                 In the process of learning group discussion,debate, presentation, elocution peer learning etc. all these things go hand in hand regularly and lively in classes where learners can so confidently and enthusiastically with other buddies rather than in isolation.
                       In the real class, learners come from various places and learn together under the same roof and simultaneously where they also learn or develop their attitude, sympathy, empathy, kindness, helpfulness, as well as they learn to understand each other problems along with academic career. All these things are very significant to be a human being and to nurture humanity. That humanity can be taught only in the classes where human is a teacher not in the mechanical classes.
                          Hello friends, you just think that how many crimes are taking place around us in the world. Rape, Murder, Robbery and many more. Why are such things increasing in the world? What are the reasons behind it?
The reason behind it that-
Parents expect good score from their children so that they are making them scoring machine. It is against their children's wish. Hence we are also making emotionless machines not a human being. Learning increase in mix or together not in isolation.

Before CHESS the classes were teacher oriented. Teacher was just only the source of information for learners. He was playing the role of dictator. There was quite silence in the class. Teacher was only the parrot and learners were silent listeners. There was very less room or space for learners to express. Learners were getting passive due to this  there was frightening situation among learners. Actually language is a part of practice that was nothing happen in the school. Because of this one way communication there was no excitement among learners. There were very less in number opportunities for learners to participate in activities, to work together in group, to exchange ideas.
     
   There were no warming up activities in the class, no touch to their previous knowledge. He was just reading out what was there in the text and was just focusing on the assignments which were given below the text and what were students  doing?
  
   They were just copying it from guide and from somewhere else. Nothing was happened beyond that. Teacher was also not going beyond text. Text book was only a reliable source for him or her so his or her ideas were freezed. There were no project work even students didn't know the meaning and steps of project. No one was taking efforts to expand the ideas of learners because of this there was no excitement and spirit among learners to learn. Both inferior and superior complexes were there among learners and teachers. Due to those complexes help was not taken. There was very rare communication regarding sharing ideas between English language teachers. There were much more misconception among them.
      
     Before CHESS teachers were mostly focusing on Grammar and rules etc.Not on using the language. He was just the machine of pointing out mistakes of grammar. He was not providing room for language.
      
    Before CHESS teacher's focus was especially to English subject not on English language it means Focus was on  Knowing a language but not on Knowing about language. One more important thing is that teaching method because of this there was monotonous situation in the class.

Teacher himself was illiterate of it. So how can he dare to cope with it. So both Teachers and students were far away from using technology in teaching and learning process even in the 21st century. Learners were not creative but copy maker and only exam oriented because there was no opportunity,no room for their creativity. There was only focus on recitement and memorization. Teacher was just inculcating knowledge. Spoon-feeding was going on.
    Before CHESS, there was no chain among teachers as well as no communication and ideas sharing programme among teachers. It was very terrible situation before chess project. God knows whether it was right or wrong. But according to me, it's really dreadful because in the old classes, only teacher was active and learners were receptive.
    
     After CHESS,
       Now classes are playing different colourful roles. CHESS realizes me a quotation made by the former prime minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Once he says, " India's future lies in the class."
          It is really true because Teachers are the nation builders. Nation's future is in the hands of teachers. If they are not doing well in the class you can't think what will happen of that nation. Some one said that if you want to destroy any nation on the planet, you needn't  fight war just spoil the education system then the deterioration will  immediately. So think, how important education is !

          Sitting on any katta, we people talk boastfully that he becomes IAS, she becomes Scientist and this and that but because of whom? We people forget the past easily that's wrong. Because of whom  the transformation is taking place that credit directly goes to only teacher and nobody else.
          CHESS  is doing well for English language teachers throughout Maharashtra. Due to this project many changes have been taking place at  the secondary especially for English language Teachers. Today,teachers role have been changed. Teacher shifted from the role of dictator to a facilitator, friend, mentor, guide etc. Today teachers are using technology in teaching and learning process. He conducts various activities in the class like group work , discussion, debate, pair work,project work as well as conducts various language games and word games in the class.

    Today, teachers are using various mobile apps to create online test eg. Testmoz, Kahoot as well as Google classroom etc. Many teachers are doing action research to deal with problems and find out facts. Many teachers are writing blogs. They are using ZOOM app  SKYPE to conduct online lecture in their classes. Teacher conducts Zoom meetings with other school teachers as well as  students, teachers are preparing their Facebook live lectures. Many are doing MOOC courses. Many teachers are making their own videos on syllabus by using the apps like Kinemaster as well as Video maker etc. Many teachers are running their own YouTube channel.

         Teachers have made WhatsApp groups to send online test link and keep learners engaged after school too. Today, all teachers of each  blocks come together and discuss classroom activities, classroom problems, lesson planning as well as sharing each other's ideas to implement in their classes etc.
           Teachers are enthusiastically participate in the District level, State level Symposium and present their Paper and poster presentation. Participate in the Talk Show programme etc.    

                                                                       
Teacher replaced the grammar translation method to modern methods. In the 21st century, we teachers are moulding the characters of our learners to face the challenges of 21st c. and make them global learners. Because of this spirit,learners are also very excited to learn so the dropout rate has been decreased. Today , classes are noisy because students are active and teachers are just playing the role of instructors. Students are using smartphones to search information and keep them up-to-date.

Once I asked my five years old son what do you want to be in your life?
My son answered, I want to be a teacher.
Then I asked, Why?
He replied to me, because teacher has no more hard work. It is very relax job.
I was shocked.
Then I asked him, how does  your teacher teach you?
He said that they only write on the block board and tells us to read and write. Gives us homework and nothing else.
 
Then I thought over it that
Is  it a 21st century education?
No it can't and never never and never.
  Today we are in the 21st century. We can't rut the old education and old methods in our class because our education system has been changed.
 Here I would like to ask a question
What do we expect from waiter when we go in a hotel?
Why do we go in a particular hotel every time?

Reasons are very simple.
 Because we expect good service from waiter. cleanliness, good, healthy and tasty food and most important thing is good service and hospitality Force us to go to particular hotel.
  Our school is also like a hotel. .                           Why do learners come to our school? 

Because they also expect the same things as we expect from waiters and hotel owners.
      In today's class we have to transform ourselves as a 21st century teacher because we are nation builders.
    Today oue learners are not depend on us only because we are not only a sole of information for them. They know There are many sources of information for them because today's learners are using internet, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter etc. So why do we Force them to learn under old type of methods.
     Today teachers have many challenges to deal with 21st century learners because there is a huge gap between teachers and learners. Todays learners are using technology easily and he is interested in learning with technology but teachers are not looking at technology in positive way. They still thinking that learners are not learning properly with technology. But here I would like to share my own experience with you that is
     
Once a woman came in to school to see the progress report of her son who is learning in the 9th class. She is an asst.professor in senior college. I was just talking with her in case of her son's progress. His progress was good in language. That time that lady said that sir my son not only  speak Englis fluently but Spanish also. I was shocked because my school is Marathi and semi- English school then how is it possible? Where does he learn Spanish? I asked
 She said on YouTube.
That time I realized that how useful technology is! So today sky is limit to our learners only because of technology. Today they are free to learn anything whatever they want. They have many sources available.
   They need our help only as a facilitator or as a guide. Students can learn. We just keep in mind they are not depend on us on the contrary they are independent to access knowledge from anywhere. We just motivate them and realize them what is right and what is wrong? Nothing else.
     Our challenge is how to develop their 21st century skills of critical mind , creativity, collaboration , communication and leadership

 We have to make them flexible and develop their tolerance power to face the challenges of 21st century. As a teacher we have to think about  4C skills of the century which are mentioned above. We teachers have to conduct such activities in our class that our learners can easily achieve the above skills to be a successful 21st century person.
   We teachers should look at our profession as a pure, honest and sincere service to create an ideal nation not as a glamour.
 Politics and education field  both have too much similarities. Both have same objectives to provide good and sound service to the people of nation but in both fields, people are looking at these as a glamour. Teaching is is a challenging  job today. To make them 21st century learners, we have to conduct many activities in our class. We shift from teacher centred to student centred. We have to keep ourselves up-to-date with the world. Use of technology is obligatory today.it is really helpful today for teachers. We teachers have to create learning atmosphere everywhere,it means english ecosystem. For this purpose we should provide space for collaborative learning. We should acquaint learners with live and practical work. We should create problems for them to develop their creative mind so  let them linger always in that problems to find solutions. Don't provide them ready made answer instead of that just instruct them how to do?and what to do?

       
In the 21st century we have to make them critical minded learners to distinguish what is right and wrong because they have lots of options in front of them to choose. If they are unable to select and decided then it is our failure as a teacher. It is the failure of our education system. If we are unable to deal with any task then we seek the help of other teachers.
I know we are taking lot of efforts in our classes but in old ways so we don't get results from learners. We have to change our methods and our attitude in the 21st century.
Always keep in mind education is not a glamour but a service to build an ideal nation.
